French Language Options
Academics along with an enriched learning experience, partnered with French language options are offered in our secondary schools.
- In the basic French stream, students receive the majority of their instruction in English with the exception of one course in French as a second language (Français langue seconde, programme de base).
- In the extended French streams, students in Grade 7 to 9 receive a higher percentage of their academic instruction in French. This percentage varies between 38% to 72% depending on the school and the French program. In Grade 10 and 11, all courses are taught in English, with the exception of the French language program.
