Spouse of a Work-Permit Holder
The spouse of a work permit holder may be eligible for French or English courses FOR ONE SESSION ONLY, if they provide the following documents:
- Their own Federal Immigration document
- Their spouse's eligible work permit
- Their Marriage Certificate
- A VALID Quebec Medicare Card (date not expired)
- A foreign passport valid or expired
Diagnostic Exams / Placement Test
As of August 2022, newly registered Academic students without any proof of recognizable transcript may be required to complete a Diagnostic Exams. The exams consist of the first two levels of the Mathematics program, English and French programs. Successful completion of all the levels grants the pre-requisite needed to begin your studies from the third level. The exams are administered by appointment only at the registration office.
MATH PLACEMENT TEST | REVIEW & REFRESH YOUR SKILLS
Before writing the placement test for secondary level Math at JLAEC, it is advised to review the math skills you may have already been introduced to in school. Take some time to look over any notes or math books you still have from previous classes or download and print any of the listed pdf’s and attempted as many of the questions as you can before writing the placement test. The placement test at JLAEC is made up of four section with between 5-9 questions corresponding to the four secondary level (I-IV).

Placement Test
Newly registered CCBE students may be required to complete a Placement Test.
This is used to determine which level students will be placed at. The test consists of comprehension, writing, reading, and oral skills. The placement test can be administered on all bookings before 12 noon, otherwise, they are administered by appointment.
